Sunday afternoon I entertained the neighbors by taking photos of scarves with my dress form in the front yard. Sunday night was spent adjusting color and exposure in Photoshop to get an accurate color representation.  I want an SLR, a model & a private botanical garden!

What’s Nuno Felt you ask?

Nuno felting (definition from Wikipedia)
Nuno felting is a fabric felting technique developed by Polly Stirling, a fiber artist from New South Wales, Australia, around 1992. The name is derived from the Japanese word “nuno” meaning cloth. The technique bonds loose fibre, usually wool, into a sheer fabric such as silk gauze, creating a lightweight felt.
The nuno felting process is particularly suitable for creating lightweight fabrics used to make clothing. The use of silk or other stable fabric in the felt creates fabric that will not stretch out of shape

My nuno felting collage class with the delightful Qun Liu. What a riot of colors and yet it worked like magic.

June is the best month for our yard.  It has the advantage of generous rain and hasn’t yet shown signs of my neglect to water.  So pretty.
